FTP Connection Information

Oceans Blue operate public and private File Transfer Protocol (FTP) servers, primarily in order for our customers and prospects to submit large test data files to us for analysis.

You may upload files to our public FTP server with our permission, using the following connection information:

  • FTP address [ftp.oceansblue.co.uk]
  • username [ftp37614328-0]
  • password [transfer]
  • If you're sending us a text file, it's always best to zip and encrypt the file first. Not only will this help to ensure file integrity, but will deter snoopers. Please note that this address is for our public server and we strongly recommend that any data transmitted is desensitised prior to send.

From a formatting perspective, text fields should be quote delimited, and field separators for variable length files should not be present in the data itself. A most excellent field separator to use is the tilde [~] character.

If you require a secure area to place your files, please contact your account manager who will arrange SFTP access for you.

When your FTP is complete, you can email your account manager/technical contact with the file details, or alert customer services using this address ftp@oceansblue.co.uk.
